The Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE) organized the 51st Ordinary Meeting of the General Assembly, the summit meeting of the Latin American and Caribbean development banking system, calling more than 800 financial leaders of the public and private sector.
This year, the Assembly was held virtually and analyzed the role that the development banks fulfill in the countercyclical financing of the triple crisis –economic, health, and environmental–, focusing on supporting the productive sectors and SMEs, financing for gender equality and sustainable development.
Representatives from 24 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, 16 extra-regional countries, and 17 international organizations met in the 51st ALIDE General Assembly.
