The Latin American Association of Financial Institutions for Development (ALIDE), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Minas Gerais Development Bank (BDMG) and the International Development Finance Club (IDFC) organized a series of digital events to discuss, both at a technical and strategic level, the role of Latin American development finance institutions in the process of building resilient and sustainable responses to the Covid-19 crisis in the region.
These digital events took place in the context of the ALIDE 2020 General Assembly and on the way to the Finance in Common Summit and contributed to better position the Development Finance Institutions of Latin America in the global debate on Post-Covid development. The debates focused, on the one hand, on the short-term financial response to the crisis, highlighting policies and instruments to support the productive fabric, and on the other, on the role of DFIs in promoting a sustainable and inclusive recovery in the región.
