
Edgardo Alvarez,
Secretary-General of ALIDE
An executive with extensive experience in corporate leadership and management, having transformed companies with negative results into profitable and self-sustaining entities over time. He has more than 25 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Development Banking, and Investment Banking.
He holds a Master’s degree from ESAN, a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from the National University of Engineering, and is a graduate of the Senior Management and Presidents and General Managers Programs at the University of Piura. He has pursued specialization courses in business management in various countries and has undertaken internships at NAFINSA in Mexico and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) in Brazil. He has also been an international speaker at different forums such as the OECD and ALIDE.
He has served as General Manager and Division Manager at major local financial institutions, as well as Director of companies. He played an active role in Peru’s privatization process, chairing Privatization Committees and participating in the sale of companies. He is currently dedicated to financial consulting and managing a private investment fund.
