The ALIDE General Assembly is the most important meeting of development banks in Latin America and the Caribbean, serving as a key platform for the exchange of experiences, the promotion of alliances, and the discussion of strategies to address the challenges of regional development.
In preparation for the event, Edgardo Álvarez, ALIDE Secretary General, held a meeting with Fernando Durán, General Manager of BAGRÍCOLA, to finalize organizational details and coordinate the joint efforts of both institutions.
In addition, the ALIDE National Coordinators Meeting was held, with the participation of more than 30 representatives of development banks from 13 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe, along with officials from international organizations and the Association’s General Secretariat.
It should be noted that this edition of the Assembly is locally organized by BAGRÍCOLA, as the host institution, with the sponsorship of the Government of the Dominican Republic, the collaboration of the other ALIDE member institutions in the country — BANDEX and Banreservas — and the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
