• Carlos Linares was present during the meeting

January 24, 2022- The Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE) celebrates his 54th institutional anniversary with a virtual fellowship meeting, where participated ALIDE’s president, Carlos Linares; the general secretary, Edgardo Alvarez and the institution’s employees.

The event also commemorated the history and the big challenges that the institution overcame to consolidate his work and commitment with development banking in Latin America and the Caribbean. The president of ALIDE, Carlos Linares, congratulated the organization for his achievements and recalled the active participation for the benefit of his associate members.

On one hand, the general secretary, Edgardo Alvarez, emphasized the level of reciprocity shown by the associates to collaborate and participate in the training courses organized by ALIDE. 

Also, the secretary Alvarez said that the association exceeded his regional participation during 2021 and presented itself on important world stages like COP26, where it strengthened ties with international entities and shared experiences in development banking around the world.

During the fellowship meeting also the importance of ALIDE’s collaborators were recognized and they were invited to present their anniversary greetings and share their opinions, and experiences about the organization’s trajectory.
