On May 17, the Caribbean Seminar “Investment opportunities for the construction of a resilient economy in the Caribbean and cooperation with Latin American development banks” will be held as a previous event, which will be attended by the Minister of Economic Development of Curaçao Ruisandro Cijntje.

The seminar will address the issues related to the construction of sustainable infrastructures with the support of development financial institutions and digital currency as a solution to boost the market in the Caribbean region.

On May 18, the inaugural session of the 52nd General Assembly will take place, with the participation of the Prime Minister of Curaçao, Gilmar Pisas, the president of ALIDE, Carlos Linares, and the president of Korpodeko, Shurmel Elias.

In addition, the inaugural session will have a keynote presentation by Hyginus Leon, president of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), who, with his presence, contributes to strengthening the ties between Caribbean and Latin American development institutions.

It should be noted that the sessions will be held in a hybrid format, face-to-face and virtual, and will include the participation of nearly 250 representatives of the region’s development banks and other regions.
