Mission of ALIDE Member Banks to Exim Bank India
Mumbai & New Delhi, India, 22 to 30 October 2018
INVITATION
We have the pleasure of informing you that a Mission of Latin American and Caribbean development bankers will be visiting the Exim Bank in Mumbai and New Delhi from 22 to 30 October 2018 within the framework of the cooperation between ALIDE and the Export-Import Bank of India–Exim Bank, a distinguished associate member of our Latin American Association.
Export-Import Bank of India www.eximbankindia.in is the financial institution that promotes India´s foreign trade with, and investments in, the rest of the world by working hand-in-hand with multilateral and regional banks and financial institutions to promote commercial agreements and incentivize cooperation with other regions and the country´s presence in the rest of the world. It is one of the principal driving forces of industrial and SME growth in India today offering a wide range of products and services and a key actor in promoting cross-border trade and investment and boasts a powerful culture of innovation and planning that contributes to maximizing India´s potential.
It is in that connection that we wish to invite your esteemed institution too take part in that Mission, in which a select group of Latin American and Caribbean banks and development finance institutions will participate, hopefully by personally joining the group or through a high-level executive to be appointed by you. We are attaching the Program of the Mission to the Exim Bank, which will be conducted in English.
The Mission offers a very special opportunity to strengthen relations and become intimately acquainted with aspects of Exim bank’s international operations, its financial and non-financial products and services, management and possibilities for investment and joint business with Latin American development banks in support of India-LAC economic relations.
The Mission will also visit other agencies in India´s development financing system, such as NABARD – National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, SIDBI – Small Industries Development Bank of India, NHB – National Housing Bank, and selected microfinance institutions, etc., and will make field trips to projects and initiatives. Exim Bank will also offer the participants a cost-free tour on 28 October to the Taj Mahal in Agra.
Participants are responsible for covering their travel expenses to India and the cost of the trip from Mumbai to New Delhi. Exim Bank will provide transport to and from the airports in those cities, lunches, coffee breaks, a welcome reception, the farewell dinner, and so forth, as well as any internal transport for the planned field trip visits.
