May 20, 2020.- The Latin American financial sector participated in the webinar “COVID-19: Challenges in Latin America”, co-organized by ALIDE and S&P Global Market Intelligence. More than a thousand representatives from various financial institutions and banking supervision agencies from Latin America and the Caribbean, North America, Asia, Europe and multilateral financial organizations participated.

The webinar proposed an analysis of the impact of COVID-19 on the Latin American economy. Specifically, it evaluated the effects generated in different industries such as oil prices and demand, supply chains, the banking landscape and the macroeconomic prospects of the region.

In this way, representatives of the Development Banks from ALIDE member institutions and other related entities were able to dialogue with high-level experts about the complex economic reality derived from the health crisis. The virtual conference held on May 11 allowed to contrast the different realities of the region, generating a more complete analysis.

To facilitate dissemination, ALIDE and S&P Global Market Intelligence opted to share the recording of the webinar. Access through these links.
