The FDN was founded in Bogotá, Colombia. Since then, it has sought to promote efficient financial structures in an effort to attract competitive long-term financing sources, as well as to mitigate refinancing risks.
Among its most important contributions, the financial institution has extended loans for the development and improvement of lines 1 and 2 of the Bogotá Metro system; the Medellín 80th Street Metro; the Caribbean Coast electric service; the Bosa Hospital; the Santa Clara Hospital; and the Palmira Transportation Service Terminal, among other infrastructure projects.
