June 22, 2023- The Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE) conducted a webinar focused on the Products and Services offered by Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) with the aim of promoting business growth and support in the region.

Two experts participated in the virtual event: Mario de la Vega, former deputy general director of financial institutions at Bancomext and Nafin, and Miguel Angel Ochoa, former deputy general director of Credit at Bancomext. In addition, the speakers are part of VFD Solutions Development & Financing, from Mexico.

Both speakers shared their knowledge and experiences on the operation, modalities and benefits of business development programs, specifically in credit risk participation schemes through the granting of guarantees.

The objective of the webinar was to promote the relationship between Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and the business sector, with the purpose of strengthening the economic outlook and stimulating the improvement of well-being throughout Latin America.

The webinar was attended by 74 representatives of development banks, commercial banks, banking supervisors, multilateral organizations, finance companies, microfinance entities, guarantee companies, consulting companies, private companies of the academic sector from 17 Latin American and Caribbean countries.
