Commitment to sustainable climate action
July 27, 2018.- As part of its commitment to sustainable development, ALIDE signed a cooperation agreement with the Climate Action in Financial Institutions Initiative, which is managed by the Institute for Climate Economics (I4CE). Thus, the association committed to increase the contribution of Development Banking to the environmental sustainability and mitigation of climate change in Latin America and the Caribbean.
This initiative promotes the integration of considerations regarding climate change in the strategies, programs and operations of public and private banks around five voluntary principles: committing vis-à-vis climate change, managing climate risk, promoting climatically intelligent objectives, improving climate performance and measuring the impact of the action.
