(Banc\u00f3ldex)<\/strong> was recognized for <strong>\u201cBlooming Roots,\u201d<\/strong> a blended finance fund supporting the economic recovery of communities affected by Hurricane Iota.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>Management and Technological Modernization<\/strong> category, ALIDE recognized <strong>Banco Nacional de Fomento (BNF)<\/strong> of Paraguay for <strong>\u201cInterconexi\u00f3n BNF-SUACE,\u201d<\/strong> an initiative that streamlines business creation through digital processes and promotes financial inclusion; and <strong>Banco Nacional de Obras y Servicios P\u00fablicos S.N.C. (Banobras)<\/strong> of Mexico for <strong>\u201cBanobras Hoy,\u201d<\/strong> a platform designed to strengthen transparency and access to information on project financing and impact.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>Information, Technical Assistance and Social Responsibility<\/strong> category, <strong>Caja de Ahorros de Panam\u00e1<\/strong> received an award for its <strong>Financial Education Program<\/strong>, which aims to strengthen financial capabilities and promote responsible financial inclusion.[\/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=&#8221;33593,33589,33595,33591&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text 0=&#8221;&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1781116073453{margin-top: -15px !important;border-top-width: -15px !important;padding-top: -15px !important;padding-bottom: -25px !important;}&#8221;]<span style=\"color: #009de5;\"><strong>Sustainability, bioeconomy and financial inclusion<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>ALIDE Verde<\/strong> category, ALIDE recognized <strong>Banco de Desarrollo Productivo (BDP)<\/strong> of Bolivia for <strong>\u201cEcoeficiencia BDP,\u201d<\/strong> a platform promoting clean technologies and energy efficiency; and <strong>Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econ\u00f4mico e Social (BNDES)<\/strong> of Brazil for <strong>\u201cBNDES Florestas,\u201d<\/strong> an initiative focused on forest restoration, the bioeconomy, and mobilizing private capital for sustainable projects.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>Support for Women Entrepreneurs<\/strong> category, <strong>Banco da Amaz\u00f4nia S.A. (BASA)<\/strong> of Brazil was recognized for <strong>\u201cAmaz\u00f4nia Pra Elas,\u201d<\/strong> a program aimed at strengthening the financial and productive inclusion of women entrepreneurs in the Brazilian Amazon.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>Regional and Extra-Regional Banks<\/strong> category, ALIDE granted recognition to the <strong>Agence Fran\u00e7aise de D\u00e9veloppement (AFD)<\/strong> for its <strong>\u201cMecanismo de An\u00e1lisis y Dictamen de Desarrollo Sostenible (ADDS),\u201d<\/strong> a tool that assesses the economic, social, and environmental impact of financed operations.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;33586&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text 0=&#8221;&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1781116103295{margin-top: -15px !important;border-top-width: -15px !important;padding-top: -15px !important;padding-bottom: -25px !important;}&#8221;]<span style=\"color: #009de5;\"><strong>Banco Nacional de Costa Rica recognized as Bank of the Year 2026<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>As part of the ceremony, ALIDE awarded <strong>Banco Nacional de Costa Rica (BNCR)<\/strong> the <strong>\u201cBank of the Year 2026\u201d<\/strong> distinction, highlighting its leadership in sustainability, digital transformation, and financial inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>ALIDE also underscored the institution\u2019s financial strength and its commitment to Costa Rica\u2019s productive and social development through programs such as <strong>BN Mujer<\/strong> and <strong>BN Libertad Financiera<\/strong>, which seek to strengthen financial education and expand access to inclusive financial services.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>ALIDE Awards<\/strong> are among the region\u2019s leading recognitions for development banking in Latin America and the Caribbean.
