The meeting will bring together nearly <strong>300 senior executives<\/strong> from development banks, multilateral organizations and financial institutions from Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>Co-organized by <strong>ALIDE<\/strong> and Paraguay\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bnf.gov.py\/bnf\/web\/#\/\"><strong>Banco Nacional de Fomento (BNF)<\/strong><\/a>, the Assembly has become one of the region\u2019s leading forums for sharing experience, strengthening partnerships, and analyzing the opportunities and challenges facing development banking in today\u2019s economic and social context.<\/p>\n<p>The Assembly also benefits from the strategic support of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iadb.org\/en\"><strong>Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spglobal.com\/market-intelligence\/en\"><strong>S&amp;P Global Market Intelligence<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agri-pdb.org\/\"><strong>Agri-PDB Platform<\/strong><\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/iica.int\/es\/\"><strong>Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA)<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Over three days, the program will feature a broad agenda including plenary sessions, keynote presentations, specialized panels, and side events focused on priority issues for the region\u2019s sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p>Key thematic pillars include <strong>productive investment to generate employment<\/strong>, <strong>innovation and technology to boost entrepreneurship and productivity<\/strong>, and <strong>resilient infrastructure<\/strong> as a tool to strengthen <strong>social inclusion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The opening session will include remarks by Paraguayan authorities, including the Minister of Economy and Finance, <strong>\u00d3scar Lovera<\/strong>, and the Governor of the <strong>Central Bank of Paraguay<\/strong>, <strong>Carlos Carvallo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The first day will also feature the presentation of the housing program <strong>Ch\u00e9 R\u00f3ga Por\u00e3 (\u201cMi Casa Bonita\u201d)<\/strong>, led by the Minister of Urban Planning, Housing and Habitat, <strong>Juan Carlos Baruja<\/strong>, as well as a panel on <strong>local capital markets and local-currency financing for sustainable development<\/strong>, promoted by <strong>Banco Nacional de Fomento<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On the second day, the <strong>Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA)<\/strong> will present the <strong>World Bank Group Guarantee Platform<\/strong>, while the panel <strong>\u201cVoices from the Caribbean: New Initiatives and Innovations\u201d<\/strong> will showcase experiences and initiatives led by Caribbean financial institutions, including <strong>CARICOM<\/strong> and <strong>DFC of Belize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The agenda also includes presentations on <strong>impact monitoring and evaluation<\/strong>, as well as on <strong>artificial intelligence applied to governance<\/strong> and the <strong>ethical challenges<\/strong> facing financial institutions.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the second day\u2019s closing activities, the <strong>ALIDE Awards 2026<\/strong> ceremony will be held, recognizing the region\u2019s leading development banking initiatives and honoring the <strong>Bank of the Year<\/strong> for its performance and contribution to the sector.<\/p>\n<p>The final day will focus on the Association\u2019s institutional sessions and on the presentation of strategic initiatives to strengthen development banking.
