The session fostered a forward-looking dialogue on possible futures for global climate finance and on how long-term thinking can guide the transformation of financial systems.<\/p>\n<p>In his remarks, <strong>ALIDE Secretary General <\/strong>underscored the proactive role of development banks, noting:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSustainable finance should not only respond to change but anticipate and shape it. Development finance institutions, with our experience, our public mandate, and our long-term vision, must help lead this transformation.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The event was organized in partnership with the <strong>Foresight for Sustainable Finance Initiative<\/strong>, an alliance that includes <strong>ALIDE<\/strong>, the <strong>European Climate Foundation<\/strong>, <strong>FiCS<\/strong>, <strong>Instituto Clima e Sociedade (iCS)<\/strong>, and <strong>UNEP FI<\/strong>, in collaboration with the <strong>OECD<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_video and Biomes<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>ALIDE also participated in the event <strong>\u201cBioeconomy and Sustainable Financing for the Biomes,\u201d<\/strong> co-organized by <strong>ABDE<\/strong>, <strong>Banco da Amaz\u00f4nia<\/strong>, and the <strong>Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The session brought together representatives from the <strong>National Development Financing System (SNF)<\/strong>, regional and multilateral development banks, the private sector, civil society, and academia to strengthen the role of public banks in financing the sustainable bioeconomy, biodiversity conservation, and low-emission agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, <strong>Romy Calder\u00f3n<\/strong>, Head of ALIDE\u2019s Economic Studies and Information Program, joined the roundtables <em>\u201cVoices of the Bioeconomy \u2013 Producers and Investors\u201d<\/em> and <em>\u201cHow to Scale Production Chains in the Amazon.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>ALIDE Verde Award<\/strong> was also presented, recognizing projects and initiatives by development finance institutions that promote environmental sustainability in the
