The accreditation covers basic and specialized fiduciary standards, project management, and financing schemes such as loans, equity, and guarantees.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;31594&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #009de5;\"><strong>Boosting Belize\u2019s climate resilience and sustainable development<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><strong>The accreditation is the result of a multi-year technical and strategic process,<\/strong> during which DFC aligned its governance, fiduciary structure, and Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) with international standards. It also developed a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) strategy, demonstrating its readiness to lead the country\u2019s climate finance agenda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>With this accreditation, DFC is now able to finance transformative projects across key climate action areas, including:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Energy generation and access<\/li>\n<li>Resilient cities, industries, and buildings<\/li>\n<li>Livelihoods of vulnerable communities<\/li>\n<li>Water, food, and health security<\/li>\n<li>Public, private, and cross-cutting projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;31575&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #009de5;\"><strong>Regional leadership<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><strong>DFC\u2019s Board of Directors expressed its gratitude to the Green Climate Fund<\/strong> for its trust in the institution\u2019s capacity and mission, and to the Ministry of Economic Transformation of Belize \u2014the country\u2019s National Designated Authority to the GCF\u2014 for its support throughout the accreditation process.
