css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1683568785141{margin-bottom: 20px !important;border-top-width: -5px !important;border-bottom-width: 25px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text 0=&#8221;&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1683568799901{margin-top: 10px !important;margin-bottom: -5px !important;border-top-width: 25px !important;border-bottom-width: 5px !important;padding-bottom: 28px !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The webinar focused on learning about the role played by the Public Development Banks in LAC in the region\u2019s social investment and how they can influence the financial system.<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text 0=&#8221;&#8221;]<span style=\"color: #009de5;\"><strong>April 20, 2023- <\/strong><\/span>On the way to the <a href=\"https:\/\/financeincommon.org\/\">Finance in Common Summit 2023<\/a>, the <u>Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE)<\/u>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>Coalition for Social Investment <\/strong>organized the webinar: \u00a0\u201cSocial Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC),\u201d where the financing role played by the Public Development Banks in social investment was explained.<\/p>\n<p>Edgardo Alvarez, ALIDE Secretary General, stated that one of the main roles of the Development Banking system is to ensure that no one is left behind in the transition to a low-carbon economy.<\/p>\n<p>Alvarez also announced that the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hubdebanca.alide.org\/\">Development Banking Hub<\/a>\u00a0will dedicate a section to the members of the Coalition, where they will find a repository of knowledge on the subject.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdp.it\/sitointernet\/it\/homepage.page\">Cassa Depositi e Prestiti<\/a>\u00a0of Italy;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fira.gob.mx\/\">FIRA<\/a>\u00a0of Mexico and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bdmg.mg.gov.br\/\">BDMG<\/a>\u00a0of Brazil shared their experiences in climate financing, social and green bonds and ESG criteria.<\/p>\n<p>This event preceded the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alide.org.pe\/colombia-sede-de-cumbre-mundial-de-bancos\/\">Finance in Common Summit 2023<\/a>,\u00a0which is scheduled to be held from September 4 to 6, 2023 at the Convention Center in the city of Cartagena de Indias.[\/vc_column_text][vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SSfrgw1uRXY&amp;t=475s&#8221;
