\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.finanzaspopulares.gob.ec\/quienes-somos\/\">\u00a0Corporaci\u00f3n Nacional de Finanzas Populares y Solidarias \u2013 CONAFIPS<\/a>\u00a0joined the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alide.org.pe\/\">\u00a0Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions\u00a0 \u2013 ALIDE<\/a>\u00a0 as an active member in order to contribute to the economic and social development of Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>CONAFIPS is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.finanzaspopulares.gob.ec\/quienes-somos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ecuador<u>ean wholesale public financial institution<\/u><\/a>\u00a0that opened its doors on December 28, 2012 following the enactment of the Popular and Solidary Economy Organizational Law\u2013LOEPS\u2013 on May 10, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The Corporation\u2019s purpose is to strengthen the popular and solidary economy\u2019s financial sector by providing wholesale financial and loan services, with savings and loan and mutual cooperatives as its allies.<\/p>\n<p>Its principal products and services are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.finanzaspopulares.gob.ec\/creditos\/\">wholesale loans, guarantees, reinforcement\/training services, fund administration and trust fund management.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>CONAFIPS management shores up financial inclusion by means of production loans that benefit women working in the violet economy and also considers young people, senior adults, entrepreneurs and other actors in Ecuador\u2019s popular and solidary economy.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the national government\u2019s policy of environmental and social responsibility, CONAFIPS created green\/sustainable loan lines for organizations in the popular and solidary financial sector.<\/p>\n<p>CONAFIPS\u2019 green loans finance production activities that contribute to ecosystem and environmental conservation and to the safeguarding of terrestrial life, in this way contributing to the fulfillment of the UN\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.un.org\/goals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>Sustainable Development Goals<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>CONAFIPS\u2019 affiliation with ALIDE fosters the financial cooperation of its members and the exchange of knowledge about the products, services and experiences by means of technical forums and training events.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;24449&#8243;
