Its close relationship with ALIDE will enable it to strengthen the ties between Caribbean and Latin American development banks.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most important activities of the CDF is to support the<a href=\"https:\/\/caricomdevelopmentfund.org\/about-us\/our-work\/sme-development\/\"> development of SMEs, <\/a>\u00a0finance <a href=\"https:\/\/caricomdevelopmentfund.org\/about-us\/our-work\/sustainable-energy\/\">energy efficiency projects <\/a>\u00a0in the private sector and help to <u>build <\/u>\u00a0highways, bridges, and air and sea accesses.[\/vc_column_text][vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=APACZiPhBtg&amp;t=4s&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1670277437797{margin-bottom: -5px !important;border-bottom-width: -5px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text 0=&#8221;&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1671659586907{margin-top: -10px !important;border-top-width: -5px !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #009de5;\">About the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI)<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative was created in 1992 and brings together a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unepfi.org\/about\/\">\u00a0large network of banks, insurance companies and investors that collectively catalyze the action of the entire financial system to create more sustainable global economies.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>UNEP FI is currently promoting sustainable market practices and supports global program implementation at the regional level in Africa, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean and North America.\u00a0 In total, it has a worldwide membership of 490.<\/p>\n<p>It also has initiatives underway to restrain climate change, fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and promote sustainable finance, among other things<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #009de5;\">What is an associate member?<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>ALIDE\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alide.org.pe\/en\/nuestros-miembros\/\"><u>associate members <\/u>\u00a0<\/a>are multilateral, regional or subregional financial institutions in or outside the Latin American and Caribbean region, whose mission is to contribute to economic development.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row 0=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column parallax=&#8221;content-moving&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/6&#8243;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text 0=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #009de5;\"><strong>About ALIDE<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>ALIDE is the community of financial institutions that produce banking solutions for Latin American and Caribbean development.
