Adesina<\/a>, President of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.afdb.org\/en\">African Development Bank Group<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/youtu.be\/jUhgpAoQJQQ&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1666311770760{border-bottom-width: -5px !important;padding-bottom: -5px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text 0=&#8221;&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1668442873601{margin-top: -10px !important;border-top-width: -5px !important;padding-top: -5px !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #009de5;\">Summit in Africa<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/events.eib.org\/event\/aa6757cd-f102-469b-8f44-8cdaac13c442\/websitePage:a20b9a0f-1b3e-4392-8a93-bb87ea0eb9c6\">The Finance in Common Summit (FICS)<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/events.eib.org\/event\/aa6757cd-f102-469b-8f44-8cdaac13c442\/websitePage:a20b9a0f-1b3e-4392-8a93-bb87ea0eb9c6\"> 2022<\/a> took place from October 18 to 20 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and was carried out as a hybrid event under the title of \u201cGreen and Just transition for a sustainable recovery\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Jointly organized by the African Development Bank and the European Investment Bank (EIB), the summit was very well-attended, with over 900 guests present and more than 1,000 online.<\/p>\n<p>During the session <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FinanceInCommon\/status\/1583154960669081601\/photo\/1\">\u201cHow to Mobilise Capital at Scale by Leveraging Private Finance\u201d,<\/a> ALIDE President, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alide.org.pe\/en\/cofide-asume-presidencia-latinoamericana-de-entidades-financieras-para-el-desarrollo\/\">Carlos Linares<\/a>, declared that the development banking system has a very important job to accomplish in attracting foreign investment, which is of crucial importance for boosting sustainable projects in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Linares also introduced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sinapsisdev.com\/\">Development Banking Hub<\/a>, a platform fashioned by ALIDE and the IDB that is intended to serve as a vehicle for the interaction of public development banks with other financial institutions in order to further Latin American and Caribbean development.[\/vc_column_text][vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/youtu.be\/Oz7BGcbK2wM&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1666312206015{border-bottom-width: -5px !important;padding-bottom: -5px !important;}&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row 0=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column parallax=&#8221;content-moving&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/6&#8243;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text 0=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #009de5;\"><strong>Regarding Finance in Common<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Finance in Common is the first summit to bring together the world\u2019s Public Development Banks (PDBs). Their first meeting took place in November of 2020. The summit\u2019s objective is to underscore the crucial role for which Public Development Banks are responsible in reconciling short-term counter-cyclical responses to the crisis with sustainable recovery measures that will have an impact in the long-term on the planet and its societies.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #009de5;\"><strong>About ALIDE<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>ALIDE is the community of financial institutions that generates banking solutions for the development of Latin America and the Caribbean.
