use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text 0=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><em>Banco de Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais (BDMG) was hailed as the Bank of the Year. <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>May 20, 2022- <\/b>The ALIDE 2022 prizes recognizing and promoting innovation and good practices among development financing institutions were awarded at the Fifty-second General Assembly of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alide.org.pe\/\">Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE), <\/a>\u00a0held in Cura\u00e7ao with the support of the <u>Cura\u00e7ao Development Corporation (Korpodeko)<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p>The prize in the Financial Products category went to two institutions, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bnb.gov.br\/\">Banco do Nordeste (Brazil)<\/a> for the \u201cStudent Finance\u00a0 Program \u2013 FNE P-FIES\u201d initiative and \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gob.mx\/shf\">Sociedad Hipotecaria Federal (Mexico)<\/a>\u00a0for the \u201cPari-Passu Guarantee Program (GPM).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the Technological Management and Modernization Category, two Argentinean institutions were the prizewinners:\u00a0 \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bice.com.ar\/\">Banco de Inversi\u00f3n y Comercio Exterior (BICE)<\/a>, with its Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM) System and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bna.com.ar\/Personas\">Banco de la Naci\u00f3n Argentina<\/a>\u00a0(BNA) for the \u201cInnovation for financial inclusion: BNA+ Development and innovation application.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Colombia, for its part, was the winner in the category of Information, Technical Assistance and Social Responsibility.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inficaldas.gov.co\/\">\u00a0Inficaldas<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.infivalle.gov.co\/\">Infivalle<\/a>\u00a0received prizes for the projects : \u201cINFICALDAS Reciprocity Policy\u201d and \u201cLocal economic development strategy in the northern Cauca Valley,\u201d respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The ALIDE Extra-regional Banks prize was awarded to <u>India\u2019s EXIM Bank <\/u>for its \u201cRising Stars (Ubharte Sitare)\u201d Program, which focuses on helping units with an export potential to expand their operations and basket of export products and to enter new markets.<\/p>\n<p>Prizes were also awarded in the special categories of Green ALIDE and Support for the Woman Entrepreneur.\u00a0 The prize in the former category went to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gob.mx\/banobras\">Banobras<\/a> program \u201cDigital Tools for Sustainable Infrastructure\u201d and the latter honored the \u201cWomen 360 Program of BN Woman\u201d of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bncr.fi.cr\/\">Banco Nacional de Costa Rica<\/a>\u00a0and the \u201cSocial Gender-denominated Bond Issuance (BSG)\u201d initiative of Mexico\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gob.mx\/fira\/articulos\/fira-quienes-somos?idiom=es#:~:text=FIRA%20es%20una%20Instituci%C3%B3n%20dedicada,forestal%20y%20pesquero%20del%20pa%C3%ADs\">Fideicomisos Instituidos en Relaci\u00f3n con la Agricultura (FIRA)<\/a>\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p>More than twenty innovative products, services and programs with a positive impact were presented during this award ceremony, which has been seeking since 2008 to identify and honor the best development bank practices and to recognize the work of the institutions in boosting their countries\u2019 social and economic progress.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Outstanding member of ALIDE<\/h4>\n<p>After a two-year hiatus, ALIDE once again announced its Bank of the Year award granted from among the Association\u2019s member institutions.\u00a0 On this occasion, the honor went to Brazil\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bdmg.mg.gov.br\/\">Banco de Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais (BDMG)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Considered among the foremost features for honoring the institution were its performance in over 90% of the municipalities of Minas Gerais state, its digital loan disbursement platform, the institution\u2019s financial soundness and its disbursements in line with the United Nations\u2019 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row 0=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column parallax=&#8221;content-moving&#8221;
