\n<\/strong><\/strong>” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:center|color:%23013c7b” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text 0=””]The Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE), as the strategic partner of Germany\u2019s Renewables Academy AG (RENAC)<\/a>, announces the opening of the nomination process for fellowships in the \u201cGreen Banking Program<\/a>\u201d- Training of Green Energy and Climate Financing Capacities to be held during the course of 2021.<\/p>\n

Banks and financial institutions from the following countries are eligible to nominate candidates for these fellowships: Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama and Peru.<\/p>\n

This is the third year of the program, which aims to improve and strengthen the capacities of the financial sector to create new lines of business for financing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects and making<\/strong> use of existing international climate financing instruments. The program is based on fellowships and offers different kinds of training, networking events and exchanges of experiences for Latin American and Caribbean professionals.<\/p>\n

In 2019 and 2020, 509 fellowships were awarded to representatives of 56 financial institutions of the beneficiary countries.<\/strong> It should be added here that 43% of the fellowships went to women.<\/p>\n

The period for nominating candidates for the programs opens on December 14, 2020 and closes on January 24, 2021. Following that nomination period, RENAC will study the nominations for the programs and distribute the planned fellowships to each beneficiary country of the German cooperation effort.<\/p>\n
