Learn about 7 good practices in Develo that have a positive impact on Latin American and Indian development

  • New book offers a compilation of experiences of the development banks that were awarded ALIDE 2020 Prizes.

January 23.- ALIDE’s new book describes 7 good practices that have a positive impact on Latin American and Indian development. These experiences have to do with different issues in the area of development finance and point up entrepreneurial innovation ecosystems and sustainable development finance instruments.

Entitled “Ecosistemas de innovación y financiamiento ambiental” (Environmental Innovation and Finance Ecosystems), it offers a compilation of the programs, products and services of the development finance institutions that won the ALIDE 2020 Prizes. These are experiences of Guatemalan, Brazilian, Panamanian, Mexican, and Indian institutions.

The 7 good practices were prized for their scope, innovation, and contribution to the countries’ development, making them points of reference for other financial institutions. By disseminating these experiences, ALIDE contributes to the knowledge of development bank programs and permits the replication of the good practices involved.

This edition contains a compilation of the following cases: Banco de Desarrollo Rural (Banrural) of Guatemala’s Catastrophe Microinsurance for Agricultural Microentrepreneurs; Banco de Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais (BDMG) of Brazil’s BDMG Hubble Hub; Banco do Nordeste do Brasil (BNB)’s Innovation Hub; Caja de Ahorros de Panama’s School Vegetable Gardens Program; Fideicomisos Instituidos en Relación con la Agricultura (FIRA) of Mexico’s Green Bonds Issue; Banco Nacional de Obras y Servicios Públicos (Banobras) of Mexico’s Sustainable Funding Strategy; and Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank)’s Exim Mitra – Exim Bank´s Trade Promotion Portal.
