September 27.- Banco de Comercio Exterior de Colombia (Bancóldex) has rejoined ALIDE as an active member with the intention of working together with the Association’s banking network to further entrepreneurial development, trade and innovation using a sustainable approach.

“We have the pleasure of resuming our membership in the Association in order to strengthen our combined efforts in favor of our countries’ entrepreneurial development, trade and innovation, always incorporating the environmental and social dimensions,” stated the Bank’s president, Javier Díaz Fajardo.

This reincorporation is taking place in the difficult economic circumstances in which the Latin American countries find themselves today. For that reason, the efforts of the two parties will be aimed at building up networking with the rest of the region’s banks and the financial system by sharing experiences and knowledge, providing technical assistance and training, and agreeing upon initiatives for cooperation.

“Belonging to ALIDE will enable us to advance integration initiatives that will give us to the opportunity to better position the region’s development banks and their fund-raising role in favor of sustainable development goals,” Díaz Fajardo went on to add.

Bancóldex is known to be the development bank that promotes Colombia’s entrepreneurial growth and foreign trade. It brings a variety of financial and non-financial solutions to bear on supporting exports, productivity and competitiveness, particularly among MSMEs, and always with an environmental sustainability approach.
