47th ALIDE General Assembly
Technological disruption, financial intermediation and development financing: challenges in an age of changes

The Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE) has announced that the 47th Regular Meeting of the ALIDE General Assembly, to be held from May 31 to June 2, 2017 in Santiago, Chile, will address as its main topic, technological disruption and its impact on the economic and social development of the Latin American countries from the perspective of the role of development banks. High-level officials and executives of ALIDE’s member banks gathered in Chile to take part in the in-service training opportunity “Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Chile: Corfo programs,” organized by Corfo and ALIDE.


New members of ALIDE

Agência de Fomento do Paraná (Brazil, 1997), a mixed-economy financial institution, became a new active member of ALIDE in September. Banco de Desarrollo Rural (Banrural) of Guatemala, for its part, was reincorporated as an active member of ALIDE.
