May 21, 2019.- ALIDE’s Executive Committee, consisting of representatives of Latin American and Caribbean finance institutions, met with the King of Spain, Felipe VI, during the course of the 49^th General Assembly.

During their audience with the King, which took place in the Zarzuela Palace, the three topics addressed by the General Assembly were discussed: the European Union’s economic integration with Latin America and the Caribbean; sustainable development and the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG); and financial and technical cooperation between multilateral banks and national development banks.

The Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO) also made a presentation on its fields of activity, lines of fund intermediation through Spain’s private banks, direct financing of loans to Spanish enterprises, and project finance in the region, and its role of government finance agency on behalf of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.

The Executive Committee, which leads and directs the Association’s activities, consists of its chairman and ALIDE’s President, Juan Curutchet (Banco Provincia de Buenos Aires), and Directors Carlos Linares (Corporación Financiera de Desarrollo de Perú); Daniel Correa (Banco Nacional de fomento de Paraguay); Chesron Isidora (Corporación para el Desarrollo de Curaçao); and María Ruiz Delgado (Banco Nacional de Costa Rica).
